I don’t expect this blog to ever get traffic.

That’s sort of a relief.

I’ve tried blogging at different times, at different sites.

All were “me” – or pieces of me.

But there was always some other motivation – it was a way to

• Get followers 🙋‍♂️
• Get clicks 🖱️
• Get known 🫵
• Get money 💰

This site is different. This blog is just a little bit about me.

There’s no SEO. There’s nothing to “go viral”. In fact, I’m making it in the beginning of the AI era, where most Internet content is redundant.

That’s also a relief.

Because there’s nothing that you need to learn from me – nothing that you can’t learn faster and more completely from some autonomous robot.

Unless you want to know who I am.

And someday — who I was.

My pastor once told me “Bloom where you’re planted”.

I had been talking to him about whether I should leave and go across the country to find something new.

His point made an impression on me.

It’s not about where you are. It’s about what you do – no matter where you are.

This photo isn’t staged. It isn’t AI generated.

It’s a capture of a miracle – the total randomness of a seed landing in the middle of a tiny crack where it should have had no chance.

But even though it had no chance, no good reason for being there, it did exactly what it was always going to do.

It bloomed.
